The resident on the left wears a brodie helmet from WWI and a waisted military jacket with lace at the end of the sleeves. He holds a cigar box up in his left hand and a flag in his right, held in front of the other resident. The flag has a picture of a beer bottle, and the writing on it says “N.Z. brewed PILSNER Lager / The best that’s brewed”. A pair of cleated shoes hangs over his right arm. The resident on the right wears a pair of shorts and a college blazer, which has multiple ribbons hanging from the lapel. He holds a straight pipe in his mouth and holds a doctor’s bag in his right hand. He holds an unknown item in his left up to the camera – the photo cuts off all but the corner.
