Photographer Donald Laing says, "I would have nipped down from Weir House with camera and tripod when I saw the mist. Tony Haas used the photo to illustrate a Salient article written by the late historian Michael King. About a decade after this (early 1970s, I came across Michael at a party and he distinctly remembered the photo and the Salient article. He said he was pissed off because people came up to him for weeks after, and congratulated him on the photo, but rarely mentioned the article. No wonder he was pissed off."
