I misidentified her as Anthropology. At Victoria, she was a Classics student, under the aegis of Alex Scobie. Via his connections in Folklore, she went on to work in Anthropology at Indiana University (Bloomington) where she became a librarian. Her PhD thesis was on ‘Capping at Victoria University of Wellington 1902-‘. A copy is in the Tapuaka collection.
